Yay!!! Well done. Meanwhile, it looks like we are losing Romania. But we pro-democracy USAers are delighted by Australia’s victory over the rise of fascism elsewhere.

This is a great reminder of the imperative that we continue to Rise! Resist! ✊✊✊

The next nationwide rally is June 14, yes >that< June 14, be there or be square!

Let's ruin Chump's B'day. We need 3.5% or the population, or around 12,000,000 people to be present. So bring all your friends and families, bring your pets. Spread the word as far and wide as possible.

It was a victory for the ages. A very decisive win for compassion and kindness against a hard right campaign from the conservatives.

Big hugs from 🇨🇦. I am so glad Oz has come through Australians proved their smarts. Elections arent like they used to be in the age of social media.

The Trump-lite fog of distortion, outright lies, character assasination, retrograde social fantasizing, and voo doo economics expressed in 3 word bleats ( " Axe the Tax!") is exhausting. And it's meant to be. So good on you, for persevering.

I suppose it was the best outcome we could have hoped for but it was not a repudiation of right wing policies or a massive swing to the left. It was a vote for “sensible centrism” and against obvious incompetence.

Says the bloke who entered the conversation with a comment so vacant it was barely even there and went on to make an insult so obvious its only effect was to make me laugh. But thanks for that. We all need a laugh these days. I was going to add, now tell us what you really think, but then I realised ….. you already had.

The Liberal Party, (conservatives) once considered a 'broad church' under ex Prime Minister John Howard, now faces accusations of aligning with fringe elements, including religious zealots, sovereign citizens, neo-Nazis, anti-vaxxers, homophobes, misogynists, racists, and bigots. Critics also argue that the party's policies and rhetoric are perceived as anti-immigrant, anti-intellectual, anti-education, anti-science, anti-worker, anti-women, anti-technology, anti-renewable energy, and anti-healthcare. These perceptions stand in stark contrast to widely held Australian values. If the Liberal Party again aspires to be a 'broad church,' undoing the damage wrought by ideologues is a necessary first step.

No…….Australia voted FOR globalist fascism.

The fact that Trump/USA was even a factor in an Australian election tells us everything about the state of the world.

I fear that Australians will come to regret what they have done.

Lol... Everything we've read about fascism fits Trumpland really well. Especially with the latest pregnancy incentives announced on posters showing only white women... That's right out of Hitler's play book, also in the same chronological order following from DOGE.

The people of the world uniting would end war. So we could live together like friendly neighbours in one big global family. Self governing and sovereign inside our homes and regularly gathering with our neighbours around the fire and feasting together on our co-created abundance. But that would require dismantling white supremacist systems and sharing power with coloured folk...

"So let's call that global fascism (because it fascist against our superiority?) so we can continue to feel good about enjoying our wealth while the world burns due to our funded representatives maintaining that wealth for us. And even better, we get to blame the destruction we're causing on the same global fascism we're inventing! Isn't that clever!?

Oh and we will also tell all the poorer underprivileged white folk that we will make them wealthy too they just need to blindly support our rhetoric and follow our instructions for total domination. So they will risk their lives upholding the white supremacist system that exploits them quite well, just marginally less than the coloured folk though! And we will tell them patience once we've succeeded (because of their blood, sweat and tears), and gained that totalitarian dominance we will bestow favours upon those that followed us unquestioningly.

Of course we will discard them soon as their usefulness is over and they no longer serve our system. They're only worth what they can provide."
